Just new from ebay. Nothing special but a not very common combination. A guy (maybe a teacher, police or civilian beamter) who made something to get the "Kreuz für Kriegshilfsdienst" but lost a relative, maybe his son.

The only reference I've seen to this type pinback is in Angolia's For Fuhrer and Fatherland; Political and Civil Awards of the Third Reich, wherein he states, "A commercial version of the award for the widow or parents came into existence in pinback form measuring only 31.5 mm. It is not known if this brooch ever achieved official recognition."
