    Lt.d.R. Willy Schirp Estate

    I am posting these estate items that span WWI and WWII of Lt.d.R. Willy Schirp to share with you . First his slivered ID -dog tag from WW I . It is hmkd in the back '800' silvered with 'L' over a line in a shield . which I believe stands for 'Lauer , Nuernberg '.

            Here now his WWI 1st Class Iron Cross in the box with dark blue velvet .Besides this , the estate includes his Black Wounded Badge of WWI, Kyffhaeuser Club Medal , the oval type one with the flags , and the Hindenburg Cross with swords .

                          Now a WWII photo of Lt.d.R. Willy Schirp in his LW Reserve Lt. Flak uniform . He is on the left in the photo which reads in back :' March 1941 --Ian Kralup ' , which is his friend on the right side of the photo.

                              Any info on his WWI UNIT HISTORY , LIKE WHEN AND WHERE DID IT SERVE ON THE WESTERN FRONT ??? -AND ON THAT PRE-WWI SHOULDER BOARD ???? would be of much interest to me .
