From Darkness Into Light: Pretty Blue Enamel Under Magic Spells

It is no secret that I Jakob Leser bavarian Military Merit Orders, with their open cypher crowns... especially the early war gold.

WEM was over on Sunday and with his digital camera took this of BOTH my J.L.'s together for the very first time-- a late war gilt in the Wehrmacht (E) officer's bar, and my Very Most Favorite early war gold centered on the RAD bar.

But the lighting is kinda... atmospheric, ain't it just?

I begin to misdoubt his tales of National Guard babysitting, however, since I-- yes, ME!!!! have now been initiated into Arcane Rituals And Incantations which allow me--with my Adobe ruined computer-- to sayeth---

      And there WAS light!

(Yeah, so OK, I forgot to crop the lower margin... at least no one was turned into a toad, or sumthin! )

I have been trying to show the difference between the jewel-like translucent early blue enamel and the dark opaque type, side by side. And there it is.

Next time WEM is going to show me how to make a ray gun out of Common Household Objects.
