      Hello,

the pictures are quite dark, but the piece looks like a Gurschner-designed badge; in my opinion it's an original one.

Let's wait for the point of view of the various Kappenabzeichen-fans...

      Best wishes,

      Enzo

Looks an original Gurschner's Allgemeine Sturmtruppenabzeichen "G" small size but I would like to see clearer back's pictures.

          Cheers

                Hi Nibelungen,

I've wrote a book on them and belive me if I tell you that this is the first time I'm in trouble with one of them.

It looks 100% good to me but there are 2 thigs that concern me.

                1) I have to ask you : does it look die cast to you ? because from these bad pictures looks so to me.Originals Gurschner "G" were always pressed and never cast die.

                2) there were 3 size of them and as far as we know the only one with no rear marks was the small size. You say yours it's 5cm heigh so that's a large size and it must have the back markings "G.Gurschner Wien"...but I'm not able to see them.

Original or not I would be very interested into buy it.

                Cheers
                T

                  Hello T,
The badge is pressed. The back does not have maker mark.
                  Thanks

                    Hi There,

I think it's a quite uncommon original variation of that kind of badge. This is the first time that I see a big size without the rear marks.
If interested into sell it I will buy it straight away since I'm researching about them: I can even trade with other Sturmtruppen badge from my collection..

                    Cheers
