Non magnetic core, flat, unmarked, 43.8x43.8mm, very good quality, extremely fine condition. Made during Third Reich, around 1939-45. (Sold with expertise of authenticity, D. Niemann).

Hardware looks like S&L - so does the crown. The beading has some bad flaws, so I'm thinking this is late production, possibly even post-war and towards 57er timing. It would be interesting to see the edges of the frames on this one to make sure it has not been taken apart and the core (date) messed with.

I don't know about this one, but I know for sure that they do exist. I just missed one at a gun show about 35 years ago. As far as I know, the guy that bought it still has it. It was a stunning piece, as I remember... TomComment
