Are Both Ribbons Correct?

These are pics of two Prussian General Service medals. Is the red and white ribbon military and the yellow and white civilian? I think I've also seen this medal on a standard black and white EK2 ribbon...what would that be for?

Both ribbons should be the same, maybe one is a little faded. The General Honor Decoration only came on the ribbon of the Red Eagle Order. You're probably thinking of the similar-looking War Merit Medal, which was awarded on the EK ribbon.

I agree, the second one is probably faded. On medal bars it is often confused for the life saving medal.

Nope, not faded. The yellow and white ribbon is what I got when I ordered
1 meter for the General Service Medal. I thought it should have been red and white!

And yes, I was getting this medal confused with the war merit medal which came on EK ribbon.
