    Zepplin Badge ?

Here is a Zep badge with a 800 mark but from a long hidden collection just dispersed . I understand it is controversial but are there any known examples like this which are good . Nieman's book is very vague on this badge but the maker stamps seem correct and the weight is 43.01 grams. Have at her.

Ahh, I see now ,it is just a drill through hole not a vent hole. It is an interesting badge. Not of the style of the Juncker shown in Niemanns book. IMO I believe that the type shown in Niemanns book was possibly not made by Juncker but retailed by them. I have an example with a Maybauer MM. The badge you show does check detail-wise with known spun cast fakes....but that does not necessarily mean this one is. Now I know that alot of people do not like the crown mark in conjunction with a Juncker piece but I still reckon they are 20's/30' pieces. There are also alot of faked pieces with Juncker and crown marks. This zeppelin badge may well be a piece made by an unknown maker and retailed and assayed thru Juncker ,which I am sure they did. But without having it in my hands I have to be a little vague about it. Ferg1.

Hi Thanks for the reply if you had this badge in hand I believe you would confirm it. The badge feels looks right as soon as you pick it up it is not junk.
