The inscription means "czechoslovakian eagle Paris 1923" so I also think it is an airshow badge.

Hi everyone! This came in the mail today and I was wondering if anyone knew what it might be fore. Nice looking badge and is 3 cm/ 1 1/4' round. Interesting back plate--first I have seen like this Thanks for any help! Mike

something Czech from the Paris airrshow of 1923?

I've seen similar items before. Whilst not a Paris Salon participant's badge per se, it looks like one of the 'team' badges that various visiting participants had made as commemorative items for their own useage. A very nice piece of aeronautical memorabelia.

OK see what I mean? My post #5 was #6. The changing of the posts' order-while unimportant in this instance, is changing the chronological and informative sequence of the discussion. This could be an information nightmare.
