Here are the script details on the back. The hilt is wonderfully preserved.

They did a great job on these old Imperial aged swords.

Saxon from the crest. Makers are usually on the blade while distrubutors are on the spine.

Since this is dated 1894, can't imagine WHAT that "Landwehr Company" can have been!

            Show us da HILT.

If the samé rayskin grip is INDEED blue, quite unusual!

I fell for this one because of the hilt. Saxon eh...

Both names on the blade, opposite sides. I imagine the shark skin turned blue over the years.

Could be. But the rayskin doesn't look darker in the bits that wouldn't have hand wear.

Their classic "U.S. Civil War" looking infantry officers' sword, which remained more popular than the Prussian style IOD89.

I can't find a listing for Matthias Muller or Müller of Leipzig as a manufacturer, so I imagine it's the distributor. The "Eisenhauer Garantirt" is the quality of the blade. Guaranteed to cut iron.

Professional driver. Course closed. Do not attempt.

But Don't Try That At Home...

the warranties are no longer valid!!!

Ricky will stand in his suite of armour and let me take a few hacks to test the warranty?
