I like it. You should have posted it in the Imperial forum though. I'm sure the mod will move it shortly.

Hmmm - Meybauer marked (apparently), yet it appears to have a more Juncker-like obverse deisgn (in particular the high relief - rather than recessed - shell bursts and guns) and imo it does NOT have a Meyabuer hinge.

How sure are we that Meybauer made these vice buying the badge from someone else and then applying their mark?

The reason I asked. This is the accepted Meybauer obverse.

I do not pretend to know anything about tank badges but in the last
post---The makers mark looks to be AWS not Meybauer

Exactly. AWS and Meybauer were both based in Berlin, correct? So who supplied them with the Kampfwagonabzeichens? We know of at least three different versions, this one, the Juncker one, and the early type with the ugly skull. That says three different dies so possibly three different makers.

I can't support the first badge posted. Looks like a very very good cast of maybe an original. Solid back, heavy, clunky, no... Pin hinge look entirely wrong. I think a modern copy that with that good definition will fool and cause discussion.

Ya the first one worries me too, the details and hinge/pin. But close... The outer edges of the badge wear and the skull on the tank is whats sticking in my mind.

Sure would like to find a nice one myself!

Meybauer appears to have produced just about every conceivable award themselves. AWS more than likely produced their own EKs but when it comes to a much rarer award like the Kampfwagonabz they probably outsourced - in this case from Meybauer. I would see Meybauer as a more likely source for smaller companies, not a company on the receiving end.
