Joe,

I enjoy seeing your documents and I know how much work it is to do all the scanning and posting. Perhaps you have not gotten the kind of feedback you were hoping for, but I don't think your efforts are wasted. There is a lot to be learned from this material. I think I have said this before in this thread, but just to repeat, wouldn't it be nice if we had a website where everyone could bring their documents, fill out some templates so that we could have a repository for research, especially concerning order of battle, individuals, units, etc..

thxs for the kind words,
i know not everyone is interested in the paper trail of ww1 but to me there is more info than in a medal or gear item, or helmet.

just love the look and feel of the passes and soldbuchs.
since these are close to 100 years old they have held up rather well.

so i know its not to everybodys liking that i post here but oh well its eaiser here then on other forums..
so can't please everybody. as long as im happy thats all that matters right?


maybe someday that idea of a ---

or maybe a book can be written??
