Here, I forgot I had this:

I will take a look at it more closely when I get home to see how the crown is attached.

      This is great!

We just learned about the first award and I see another example here. I am not familiar with the 2nd and 4th awards. I know the others and have a few of them, but 2 and 4 I need to learn about. I am also clueless on 2/3's of the ribbon bar. I can't wait to see what those represent!

      Thanks again, Dave.

        Hi Gary,

i don´t know, from which side you counted, so i will enumerate all.

        From the right:
        Iron Cross
Bavarian Military merit medal (not cross)
Sachsen Meiningen honour medal for war merit
        Bavarian Luitpolt-Medal
        Austrian Military merit cross
and, as i learned in this thread, the Bulgarian Order of Military Merit.

Dave, that are very, very nice bulgarian medals. And, as a selector of miniatures, i am very pleased about the mini-groups. Maybe we can see some more( in a new thread?)?

        Regards,

        Gerd

          Thanks Gerd,
I didn't know about the Sachsen award. I did know about the Austrian award but I wasn't quite sure. I have the Bayern medals and of course the EK.

          Any info about the ribbons?

            NIIICE Bavarian Lt/ Capt grouping!
Ribbons are the EK, Sachsen-Meiningen and the Bavarian jubilee medal.

So worn before the guy got his other medals and he h´was even twice decorated by "foreign" countries before he got his native MVO4X.

            Best regards

            Daniel

These are the only German miniatures I have. The group is odd in that the Saxe-Meiningen medal, the Cross for Merit in War, went to a Bavarian who had been in the Bavarian Army at least since 1912, before he got any Bavarian awards. The group is also nice in that with only six medals, five different states are represented.

I only have that wartime 3-ribbon bar, but the miniatures match this:

Hot-Dam that is BEAUTIFUL! I can never find anything like that in my neck of the woods. Wow, I'm going to pray I win the lottery.
