Ribbon identification request and other questions

If you have looked at this thread thinking I am about to give you the opportunity for another stay-up-all-night search through rank lists to identify some long-lost hero, I apologise. My request is rather more mundane, I'm afraid.

I have a battered old 4-position ribbon bar picked up cheap to suspend and display loose medals. The first three are the EK II, Bavarian MVK and Hindenbirg Cross and I have spare loose medals for those positions, but I am unsure about the fourth ribbon.

As I am unsure whether the ribbon in question is Imperial or later, I have posted it here. If the thread belongs in the Imperial section, please let me know and will post the images here.

Is it the ribbon for the Rettungsmedaille or simply the Westwall medal? Or is it something Imperial and obscure or badly faded (which it doesn't seem to be)?

Does anyone know how to get images of medals and similar artefacts with a light background from a scanner? All of my attempts so far seem to have been taken in coal cellar during a power cut.

Is it possible to post two or more images at the same time, i.e. without having to post each image separately?

Many thanks in advance for your help.

    /David

      Hi David,

can be Livesaving, can be Westwall. Bad to see from that scan. In both cases the bar is too thin for an ID without the fitting documents or pic-in-wear.

      Best regards

      Daniel
