This just arrived today, an EK1 with that "square punch" mark in screwback. I have an EK2 with this mark, but this is the first EK1 with this mark I've been able to find. I don't think you see them everyday. I have also picked up an 800 marked EK1 with the same hardware and frame, but diffrent core. Hmmmmm.

Nice crosses guys. A few years ago, there was a small amount of hype around these and the mysterious square markings. They were uncommon at the time; but then the more I looked the more I saw. At least one seemed to be on the market every month. Now, I think I just saw the first in a long time (listed a few days ago). I never did pick one up, though I ended up with one with a strangish oval stamp on it as a booby prize.Comment

I honestly haven't seen any offered but the two I have, the other being this EK2 with a zinc core. Both came from trusted sources and I never paid a premium for the marks.Comment
