    New EK1 "Square Punch" Screwback

This just arrived today, an EK1 with that "square punch" mark in screwback. I have an EK2 with this mark, but this is the first EK1 with this mark I've been able to find. I don't think you see them everyday. I have also picked up an 800 marked EK1 with the same hardware and frame, but diffrent core. Hmmmmm.

Here's the hardware. This type of hardware is new to me also. The square punch is believed to be a type of quality control mark I believe.

          Nice looking cross Steve.
It's nice to see screwbacks with all of the hardware. Nuts, washers ect.

Yours has a much nicer attachment system compared to mine.

Nice crosses guys. A few years ago, there was a small amount of hype around these and the mysterious square markings. They were uncommon at the time; but then the more I looked the more I saw. At least one seemed to be on the market every month. Now, I think I just saw the first in a long time (listed a few days ago). I never did pick one up, though I ended up with one with a strangish oval stamp on it as a booby prize.

I honestly haven't seen any offered but the two I have, the other being this EK2 with a zinc core. Both came from trusted sources and I never paid a premium for the marks.
