I've just obtained a cased EK I together with award document -this being the plain "Ausweiss" typed example- to a Vizefeldwebel Becker of 3/Komp Fusilier Regiment Furst Anton von Hohenzollern Nr 40., who was awarded his cross in August 1918. A friend was kind enough to flesh out the movements of this unit during the relevant time, but I'm looking for some deeper information. Does any forum member have a history of this unit, I've seen these for other regiments where the recipients of the EK I are listed in the back, which could give further details on this soldier.
