EK 1 Help

Hello,
i usually do not collect german militaria, but ran over this EK 1.

What can you tell me about this particular cross ?

Any help would be great.

A nice example of an original war time cross. Most likely a private
purchase piece instead of a issue piece.I say that because it is
vaulted and has a high (935) silver content. I do not know the
maker however I am sure someone here does.

Thats's a nice piece marked 935, which is one of the higher marks available and makes this a fairly desirable example. I have no idea of the maker either.

Hallo Stephan,

As the others have said, a very nice cross with a hard to find high silver content. Probably private purchase as already mentioned. Re maker, I'd have to check but it's probably generic - ie the core was probably used by more than one maker, so positive a ID is unlikely.
