    a '57 bar?

    Found this.....beauty......sucker....on ebay (Item number: 2183955104 )
Seems to me to be an Imperial 1957 medal bar, nicht war? Ribbons and medals seem to be stone mint. And notice the maker's mark on the Hindenburg Cross. That was not present on any 1957 era medals, right?
I can't imagine this being anything other than what it purports to be.

The LS is a 57, but I'd be willing to bet the EK if not all the others are original. Maybe a remount, although the back looks pre-war. The seller wouldn't know an original from a Greater Auk. I think she buys up whatever crap she can at flea markets and flogs it on eBay. I've bought from her twice and been disappointed both times.

Yeah. Why would they be anything other? Who'd fake a Wurrt medal and a Hindenburg medal on a 100 Dollar bar?

          >Maybe a remount, although the back looks pre-war.

Yes again. Why bother faking? But the ribbons are *so* bright, and the brass pin is *so* straight it seems like it was made up yesterday. If this thing's legit it's rarer than your basic, average, real RK.

Na ja, nobody speaks about faking.
I think it is a pre-war bar where just the 25 long service was replaced 1957.
A mint condition should be the normal condition of a medal bar. Maybe a normal citizen has in his whole life a handful of occasions to wear it. The other time it should lay well packed in a chesterdraw. Medal bars are not so aging from wearing than from wrong storage.
Anyway it is a NICE and rare bar.

            Best regards

            Daniel
