It has been repainted. The beading on the frame reminds me of the Latvian crosses we see but it could be the lighting. The ring also looks too small.....

I have been looking through all of my pictures of 1870 crosses
trying to match this one---with no luck at all.
Don is right about the frame looking VERY much like the Latvian
fake frame. He also makes a good point about the ring size and
look at the very very thin small ring attached to the frame. I have
not seen one like that before. And of coarse the bad repaint is
obvious.
I don't have a lot of faith in this one but I can not be 100% sure.Comment

Using my ex-cross is not a good example. This one I had was purchased about 1998ish time frame - about the time when the 9th bead fakes came out(which mine's wasn't). Eduard's cross has a frame it seems massive for 1870's; more like 1914+..Hard to say with the repaint.Comment
