It has been repainted. The beading on the frame reminds me of the Latvian crosses we see but it could be the lighting. The ring also looks too small.....
Let's here what others have to say.

I have been looking through all of my pictures of 1870 crosses
trying to match this one---with no luck at all.

Don is right about the frame looking VERY much like the Latvian
fake frame. He also makes a good point about the ring size and
look at the very very thin small ring attached to the frame. I have
not seen one like that before. And of coarse the bad repaint is
          obvious.

I don't have a lot of faith in this one but I can not be 100% sure.

I'm afraid it was 'manufactured' very very recently Eduard...

You have the 2nd class version of this monster... 1870 EK1 for discussion. which sadly is merely a bad fake stamped with the incorrect marking for the Wagner firm.

What you have is in no way a real 1870 EK2 from any period IMO.

            Sorry...

              Biro,
Using my ex-cross is not a good example. This one I had was purchased about 1998ish time frame - about the time when the 9th bead fakes came out(which mine's wasn't). Eduard's cross has a frame it seems massive for 1870's; more like 1914+..Hard to say with the repaint.

                Besides,
The crown and 1870 numbers don't match each other..
