Hi Oli and welcome to the forum. I agree with your assessment of Ben's items. I think more members here would also agree if they could read it but our common tongue is english.

I look forward to seeing some of your collection.

Very nice set, or Spitzenklasse, as they would say. Any more info on the recipient, looks like Werner von Beeren?

                  Thanks guys!!

                  I really love this set.

I don't have any info on the recipient so far, but didn't have time for ressearch either....

The doc was offered to me after I won the ek in an auction, so I was lucky!
The set wasn't cheap but I couldn't resist it.
The chances of obtaining a set ( or: the document) are very slim.

                  Best regards,
                  Ben

The recipient is the Seconde Lieutenant Werner von Beeren from the Hannoversche Füsilier Regiment Nr. 73 (ß)

The "von Beeren" are a noble family.

About 1810 there was existing a Cuirassier Regiment named "von Beeren".

There was also Generalleutnant Karl von Beeren (* 1890) in WWII.
