Here's a rare photo I own, it shows 3 men wearing the Tanker badge. What's neat is the variety of Uniforms being worn too, I haven't seen another photo with so many badges worn. Please post your photos of Badges in wear too.

to the others posted but the paint scheme on this one looks different
then the rest.---any ideas as to which one this is ?

WHOA... 3 in one photo--that's a first for me, esp. with regard to the TR era. Has anyone ever tried compiling a list of Imperial German tankers? It might be a reach, but I bet someone could almost ID the Wehrmacht officer in the photo by his medal bar...(great photo Greg!)

I think the medal bar is a fairly generic grouping. It looks to be
                  a 1)1914 Ek2, 2)Hindenberg cross, 3)long service cross, 4)centennial
                  medal.

                      Entry 77 & 78

The man in the army uniform is Ernst Volckheim, at that time with PzRgt 5 at Wünsdorf. The two other guys are former Abt. 1 members as well. The occasion is one of the "ancient tankers" reunions (that of 1938?).

Thanks guy's for the responses, I've had this photo for a long, long time and this is the first time I've showed it!!

When I picked this up from what I remember no other photos showed more than 1 person wearing the Tankers badge, I know some had great looking medal bars on, but most were in Army Uniforms. I'm sure this grouping of 3 men were the best out of all of them. I love the different Uniforms in the shot though, and like you said the Tankers Badges are the even neater.

I think it would be cool to get a great listing of all tanks found and Badges in wear.

                          thanks greg koepp
