    9.9.1916

My grandfather is the middle right Prussian general. Lt. Gen. v. Etzel. Gentleman to his left looks like a high ranking Austrian (von Boog?). Books by Ludendorff don't much good to say about the Austrians but my grandfather always spoke VERY highly of them!

        What am I working on?

Some sort of press device, two of them visible. Looks like the pressed object then is heated over a can like device?

                WHO IS THIS???

                20.9.16 L.I.R.32.

I can't tell who this man is, BUT, I notice he HAS AN EXTRA STRIPE on his breeches. Would assume he's a very high ranking general officer based on the pictures in the envelope. Can't read the name on the back.

                  9.1916 107 Inf. Division

Notice von Etzel wearing Eagle Order for this visit. Not familiar with award on gentleman on left but looks very nice.

I THINK this is Eduard Freiherr von Böhm-Ermolli!

Kratky detail of awards: My GUESSES.

The Imperial Austrian Order of the Iron Crown. The Knights of the Second Class wore the order at the throat on a neck ribbon of yellow and blue stripes.

The Imperial Austrian Order of Leopold 1914-1918. Can't see any additional specs to determine if War Dec present.

Can't figure the one on the far right, with very light colored ribbon?
