    non-combatant?

Guys, a question - was there a non combatant version of the Wuerttemberg bravery medal in silver or gold? Seems most other states etc had non-combatant version of their 2nd class EK equivalents, did the Wuerttembergers?

    thanks

    Jason

No. A true non-combatant would be eligible for the Wilhelmskreuz or maybe the Charlottenkreuz, but never for the Military Merit Medal.

      Ha Ha!

Perhaps all is not as it seems. I have a 3- piece medal bar. Which will be going to Jason shortly. Silver Bravery Medal (Wurtt.) with a Front-Fighter's Honor Cross, NO swords. Last place is a Centennial Medal. All 3 medals are sewn into the bar, so how do we account for this one??

Hmmm... I would call this a military merit at home award like the rarest type of the EKII with black-white ribbon. But there was no special ribbon or type of Württemberg MMM for non-combatants.

Maybe a very brave medic in the front lines? Hmmmm...anyway, once the bar arrives from Stogie I'll scan it and post it.

          cheers

            Nope

Nope-not a medic-anybody under fire got the swords. See Rick Lundstrom's post on the HK. It's a great medal bar-you are lucky to be getting it.

Thanks Jeff - looking forward to getting it. It should be here in a couple of weeks.

              cheers
