    EK1 WWI Maker Mark 4

I have recently bought a WWI EK1 pin back, the pin is stamped with a number 4. The medal is 3 piece with an iron core (magnetic). Would anyone be able to let me know if this mark was used in WWI or is this piece a later manufacture (WWII?) or fake?

    Regards....Howard

At best it is a cross made during the TR era.

How do its characteristics compare to this one (a screwback by the same manufacturer)?

I know that yours is a pinback and is marked "4", but here's the reverse of mine anyway for informational purposes.

          Hi George,

Happy to send some pics of the EK1 but I cant post them on the site at the moment - could you send your email address and I'll get straight on it.

          Regards....Howard
