I just got this armband ,which I think is a Freikorps-Armband showing the Hamburg city coat-of -arms .It measures 8 1/2 -inches in length and is 5 3/4 - inches wide , and of red linen with the edges stitched over .The 5 3/4 wide ends used to have a string stitched into the fold-over (- one corner string remains ) so the armband could be tied around the upper sleeve of the tunic or overcoat . Has anyone a similar armband --or seen it being worn in a photo of those days ????? Any info is welcome ! Posted by Bernd .
