There is a resembalance for sure. I would think finding candid private shots like this of Goring from this era would be quite a score. You should try posting a seperate thread, maybe in a political section and see what others think.

Goering (notice how his name is spelled) is positively identified in the photo in post #348; Dr. Gimbel is identified in that picture too. With regard to the photo in post #356, this is quite certainly Goering on the left and Dr. Gimbel on the right. In the photo in post #357, I would say that again we have Goering on the left and this time Dr. Gimbel is in the center.

hey thxs guys,
i posted this thread in the politcal section and photos section also, they all seem to think its him also.

as for finding a nice album like this i was more interested in the photos without mr goering. after looking at the album i had to take a double take and there was a guy i thought looked like him. well cool it is him
so getting a album with him in it is great...
there are 2 other pics of him in the album also one of the group pose where there standing all three with the medals on is put on a large wine bottle.
and other is a sitting one again.


and steve for finding examples of these types of photos i can say this is my first time finding a nice set that maybe has not been published before.
again they may have been published before as ive not read any books on goering. so who knows>>>

this PC has a group outside a hut, some of the men have a collar pin or patch that looks like a edlwise flower, i can not get a real good closeup of it, and the unit name is on the back of the PC.

here is a postcard with a good use of pillbox cap coverup's, using white material to cover the middle section of the cap's color for unit id's. looks like the Nco is the only one to not have it covered,
