1870 EK2 opinions please

The case is not period made, probably from 1914 era, cross is nice though.

Hi Andy,
I am really uncertain about your cross. I like the overall look of the
cross and the date looks very much ( wagner-ish ) but the crown
is really ugly. I can not match it to any examples I have on file. either
real or fake.

just managed to find my copy of the Iron Time and to my eyes it looks the same as the cross shown on page 94.

They are similar but they DO NOT MATCH.
The most telling difference is the crown. Check out the beading in the
crown. The one in the Iron Time has a line of very small beads(its hard
to count but I counted a least 14) while yours shows only 9 possibly
10.

The very first thing I look at on any 1870 is the date. The details
the date (especially the 8's ) are easy to spot. The shape
of the O's in the 8 are different between yours and the on in
the book.
