Poellath 800 Bavarian Pilot´s Badge

Hi,
need some opinions on the value of this Poellath 800 Bavarian Pilot´s Badge. The catch war repaired/restored and the top of the crown was cut (they told me they have done it because they lost the war). The maker mark is on the pin.

Hi Alex, that ,at last, is an original example of a Bavarian pilot badge. As I have said in the past the examples with a spokeless undercarriage wheel are dubious. NOTE the spokes in both wheels on this piece. Nice example,Alex, good used badge in used condition. A good example these days ,if you can find one, reaches around £800 from a dealer,yours with repairs and loss of cross atop of the crown would IMO be around £ 600, approx. Nice piece though. I have never seen a Poellath badge marked on the pin.

Less commonly seen but I have seen this locating of maker mark on the pin before. Like this it is always marked ' C.POELLATH ' and not Carl or Karl . Ferg1.
