    WW1 Honor Goblet......info needed

    I have access to this honor goblet...but do not know that much about these...
    i see that detlev sold one in the latest update for nearly 12000 usd....
    this one is marked the same though not in as good condition...any comments appreciated on this piece....came from a us officer picked up in germany in 1947 time frame....
    help ....prices and numbers issued....how rare etc...is it true every fighter pilot got one on his first kill???

                Hi Mike,

                The Ehrenpokal was awarded for first victories for all aircrew until late in the war, when a steel version was presented instead of silver. Yours would date to the 1915-17 period. Silver ones are more desirable, but getting one with attribution such as the award document is most preferred. I have one awarded to my uncle early in 1918. It is the steel version, but fortunately comes with the document. These are not common, so I would jump on it for a good price.
