Goggle Gaggle

Thanks Steve. The helmets are tougher to find but are still out there. I've also got some leather flying clothing as well.
The goggles are tough enough to find and I still do not have the 1916 German 'tear-drop' style that was so common in 1916-17. There were many variations of these in all the armies. The first one in the batch is really the 'cats meow' of goggles. It is marked Lemoglass, NY and has a nice rubber padding with a tinted strip at the top like on your car windshield. These were prized among the american and Brit flyers.
I also find it interesting that many of the goggles and helmets show up on enemy nation flyers. Seems they valued the downed pilot's togs as souvenirs and also wore them. Steve
