Need Second opinon on Iron Cross

Thinking of buying this Iron Cross. Was told it's good by one of our Iron Cross collectors I hired as a consultant.

Thought it might be wise to get more input before I actaully buy it. Price is 69.00 USD from Seller in germany.

Its a good one, marked KO. $69 is on the high side for a common EK2 though.

Hi Don, this cross is on ebay. I could bid 65 but it's buy it now at 69 and know if i bid someone else will say oh someone bid so I will too?


What makes the cross common? Is this an entry level iron Cross? I really don't want anything special.

Yes, it is the entry level cross. There were 5 million+ of these issued. If you watch on the estand you can pick one up for $45-55 easy.

I've looked on Ebay and found that common items were overpriced. Imperial EK2s are common, but are still a better buy than 39 EK2s, which seem to be made in as many numbers. A marked cross is usually more desirable than unmarked all else being equal. KO however is proably the most common of the marked Imperial EK2s. Hold out for a better deal.

Guess I will then. Hold out for the Estand. Got a PM about the cross I posted and was told ribbon might be a repro anyway.
