    I recently acquired this postcard, can anyone shed any light on what these guys are up to, victims of a LSD gas attack perhaps?

      Ration bread was largely Pumpernickel, made out of rye...

      highly susceptible to ergot poisoning after a wet summer.

      Or it could just be that wild and wacky German sense of humor.

                Interesting that in 1913, they are modeling washbasins as "helmets". Little did they know that in a couple years, they'd be fighting the Brits and Americans wearing same. When did the "Brodie" helmet first come into use?
