    albert order question

Here is the situation. I have a ww2 officers uniform. I been trying to find out what one of the ribbon bars is. It matches the albert order on the knights cross. Was thet award allowed for wear during the 2nd world war. If so when did they stop issuing these awards? On the same uniform There are two holes on the right breast pocket. I have already elliminated the german cross and spanish cross. Where there any ww1 awards that were permited for wear during ww2? Any info would help i'm scratching my head here.

Sometimes the gallipoli Star was worn on the right.

A simple answer to your question is-yes, imperial awards were worn in WW2. There are numerous photos throughout the forum of WW2 German personnel wearing imperial awards.

Can we see the reverse of the ribbon bar please. It looks a little short for the loops that are on either side of it.

I thought it looked small but am not all that informed on ribbon bars. Maby this uniform needs a 7 or 8 place bar?

I would think an 8 place bar would fit nicely.

So I am right to think that the third ribbon in ( the green one ) is an Albert order?

Definitely not an Albrecht-Orden, as he would have had a 1914 EK2 on the bar.

Could the green one be an Ostvolk 2nd class in silver? Ammersee
