I dont like this one at all, its a weirdo. The iron core obviously does not fit right into the frame (look at where W is), pin and hinge look more like 3rd Reich than 1870 and finally the mis-shapen crown is identical to the one on fake 1870 EK2 we were recently discussing

I totally agree with Vadim, this piece is just junk.

When are we going to get a pure Iron Cross forum? from 1813-1957, it would make perfect sense as people post all thier Iron Cross questions in here anyway.

I agree with the seller's own description "it doesn't look 100 years old to me." It will probably sell for $300 anyway, just like the last one like it on eBay (and that one had several bids even when marked "private auction--bidder identities protected".). Gee, wouldn't that be a CLUE?
