Just been delivered from Detlev's friday update.
Not usually my forum but what a great piece.
The photos do not do it justice, glad I wandered off third reich stuff for a change.
Can anybody tell the maker of this?

A nice piece Steve - congratulations.

The maker of any 1870 EK2 is pure speculation - 99% of the period pieces are unmarked so attribution to any particular jeweller (Godet, Wagner etc... ) tends to happen by association... e.g. a 'Godet' marked button on the back of a lapel mounted EK2... or a particular style of EK2 on a 'Wagner' medalbar... etc..

In this case, I would think Wagner is a high probability for the maker of yours... but in truth, we will never know.
