    dolman versus attila

    hi guys
something is puzzling me for some time.
can someone explain me the difference between a dolman and a attila tunic?

Is the attila the "circus lion tamers" style tunic, but the dolman the worn over one shoulder jacket?

Here's a Hussar circa 1880, with his cap cords dropped onto his chest. From the wooly collar and front edging, is that his DOLMAN all looped up instead of slung?

      Dolmen - Attila

My "Meyers Lexikon, Edition 1927" says:

      Attila:

short jacket of the hungarian national outfit, with cords, later to become the similiar uniform of Husars.

      Dolman (turkish):

jacket with fur and cords, earlier outfit of of some regiments of the Husars, mostly presents from dukes, refer to Attila.
