    Railroad tunics???

Okay so I lied...found two more that I thought I would share. Granted not a fancy medal bar or medal, but the more I look at these early photos the more I like them. First one is a group of eight men-all wearing a badge above their cockade, the close up shows what looks to be a railroad emblem on his collar tab. Notice what looks like a whistle attached to a big fob of some sorts. The sign on the bottom reads--"Erinnerung an den WeldKrieg 1914" An comments?? Mike

      Good question!!!!

I have a bunch of photos with railroad men (and boys) and military personnel. My favorites have the soldiers with those enormous slashing heavy CAVALRY SABERS (those must have come in handy on moving trains!)

But this is the FIRST time I have EVER seen WW-ONE railways men armed with rifles!

I wonder if they must be the Imperial equivalent of Bahnschutz rather than Reichsbahn?
