World War One German Iron Cross

I am bidding on a World War One Iron Cross (2nd Class).

According to the owner of this cross :

    100% original German Iron Cross

    EISERNES KREUZ - 2. KLASSE

WW1 Iron Cross awarded to soldiers who displayed exceptional courage in battle

On the face: "1914" and "W" for Wilhelm, King of Prusse and Emperor of Germany

    Correct three pieces construction,
2x extra silver Frames with 1x Iron centre magnetic core,
as all originals must be, 100% authentic made before 1918

    makers marked S-W
(Francois Luis Jeremisiy & Albert Wagner , Berlin)

Original ribbon that will not glow under black light
which is one of the test of authenticity

Now, this is the FIRST time I am trying to buy such items and would really appreciate your feedback. First of all, I went trough the list of manufacturers published in one of the threads on this forum and could not find the maker's name makers marked S-W
(Francois Luis Jeremisiy & Albert Wagner , Berlin)
    .

Pics below ................... what do you think? Am I bidding wisely?

    Many thanks.

    Reuben.

The picture quality is not the best, but from what I see, it seems OK. The maker mark looks good. If there is time, see what others say.

The cross looks OK to me. As for the makers mark, S-W is the
      mark for Sy-Wagner of Berlin.

I agree. A cross like that should go for $50 or so and not more. Bid wisely.

Many thanks to all for the information provided. I really appreciate it.
There is still time and more over, the current bid is around $50 .... I assume it will get higher.

Anyway, I will wait for more suggestions.

          Thanks my friends.
