    Help on a hat badge!!

    Was going through some pictures last night, and ran across this group photo. They appear to be in front of a hospital with two nurses. Here is the group photo--Mike

    When I looked closer I saw this.....he is standing to the right of the nurse on the right....

      and this person is standing above and between the two nurses..everyone else appears to have on regular hats.. any ideas as to what these hat insigna are for?? This one appears to be a skull and cross bones-- Thanks--Mike

          The first one is a naval Deckoffizier-- their version of Warrant Officers.

            IR 92?

            The second one looks like the death's head badge worn by Braunschweig IR 92 or the Leib-Husaren.

                IR 92 1914-15

                Some of the lads sporting their cap badges. Early in the war most soldiers seemed to be clean shaven.
