    New EK2

Hello all! I just got this EK2 and was hoping someone could tell me if it's wartime or 20's- 40's made. It's got a magnetic core which is chemically blued instead of black paint. The frame silver plated brass or tomak. It is 3 piece but somewhat thinner, almost delicate (if that's the right word). It's also unmarked.Possibly private purchase? All opinions welcome. Regards, Ron.

I would guess that it is pre 1940s. It does not look to have the wide
arms of the TR era crosses. What is the size? The crown detail almost
looks like the replacement cross I posted earlier.

Hey Greg. It measures 4.2cm across edge to edge, and the arm outer edge is 2.2cm from tip to tip if that helps. Regards, Ron.

Those blued cores are tough to find. The crown detail is great.

Thanks Steve, Any idea who the maker might be?

The core is nicely detailed. It doesn't show the die wear that a lot of late war crosses exhibit.

Parts of this core remind me of a CD800.
