My personal opinion: beautifull decorations but i don't like the bar.

        some things to think off:

        - ribbons look very new
-this special grey backing i have often seen by newdone bars
-Orden of the Iron crown with swords but NO swords on FJO (could be)
-NO Signum Laudis (bronce or silver)
        -NO Military Merit Cross

        just my two cents

        haynau

PS: it is good done, so if the price is ok i would habe bought it aswell

Like Rick Lundstrum, who used to be the resident expert here, was fond of saying. Ribbons should stay in fine condition if stored right. This has been in a closed box that came with it for many many years.

It is indeed beautiful, but I find it odd to have both the Austrian War Service Medal and the Hindenburg Cross as well. Steve

Like haynau, I find the lack of a Signum Laudis, the basic Austro-Hungarian award for officers, to be odd.

odd, indeed...but in this case not the kiss of death. The combination of #1 and #2 and the wound medal and the Wehrmacht LS medals make this guy (probably) identifiable. he may well be out there.
