    Can anyone tell me what medal this is?

    I was hoping one of our esteemed members could tell me a little more about this medal and how much would be a good price to pay. I don't really collect Imperial awards but have become more and more interested recently.

    This medal is the Austrian WWI "Truppenkreuz", a quite common cross given to the EM who have served at the front as combattant troops. It isn't very much worth... about Eur 20/25.- , I would say. Furthermore the ribbon is not correct.

        In that condition it would be worth a lot less.

        The ribbon is for an invalid's award of the Austrian Wound Medal ("Laeso Militi").

          Dave,

          I totally agree with you. I would rate it a bad "Zustand III". Please also note that the rings attachment to the ribbon are not originals.
