I picked up a war Diary broken into WW1 and WW2
He was older in WW2
The Imperial part is great
He is in Fusilier RGT 86 in France
It starts with English planes attacking them and then he goes on to write about part of his job being to collect women for Unteroffiziers entertainment. He refers to it as liebesdienste.
He is really well written and sort of a cynical guy. Easily offended also and into coffee for some reason.
More to come as my girlfriend translates.
More, his job is to sit in the trench and repair the comm lines as they are shot apart. Everytime he repairs them they are down again because there is so much shooting.
Not familiar with WW1 but he is in a place called Siegfried Stellung putting comm lines in the trenches
He went on leave and now is in Flandern
