Hi Imperials,
This very small trapezoid bar from a friends collection looks not at all impressive, but
1st of all it is the smalles Trapezoid I´ve ever seen and
2nd: it shows one of the most rare Prussian Orders.
It belonged to Captain Seyfried. He served in Deutsch-Ostafrika, went aD before 1913, returned for Service in WW1 and was killed in action 13.10.14 in Flandern.
Seyfried is listed in the 1900 ranklist with RAO4X WITH CROWN (only 46 Officers got this award, for example also later General v.Lettow-Vorbeck and Admiral v.Trotha), DA25 and Mecklenburg Griffin Order 3rd class with crown. His very small pentagonal bar had not enough place to show everything, that’s why he wore just the crown and not the swords on the 1st ribbon.
Best regards
Daniel
