                    non no women`s piece. women wore a "damenschleife" and no regular
                    medal bars. the bar was worn by a non-comb. who served in the "kriegsfürsorge" for a long time. (red cross medal 2nd class in silver was
                    awarded about 8500 times)

                      It may well be woman's, but as well a male's. We don't know and won't.

                      Joe, some women did indeed were medal bars.

                            Wayne, that will be a nice one once you get the right awards on there. I think number three is from Hessen, or? And the last one should be a Prussian Red Cross medal.

                              Here is one from Baden, with the Silver Merit Medal on civilian ribbon. It is the later coinage, without the die-cutter's mark.
