    "F" with crown in 585 Gold and diamonds

    what is this ??

    looks like a royal or princely gift-brooch (or pin).

    it was common before 1914 that sovereigns and/or members of the royal families scattered this 'goodies' (pins, brooches, watches, decorative pics etc.) under their subjects.

    quality and used material depended on the social position of the recipient.

    i don't know from which country the pin shown comes, but the crown looks scandinavic to me.

      es soll aus dem Nachlass eines beannten Dichter aus Weimer sein
      und es soll sich für das F - Friedrich des Großen handeln

      ob das so stimmt,weis ich natürlich nicht

      aber,wiehoch könnte man in etwa den Wert sehen ???

        Hallo Chris,
        IMHO the mark 585 indicates at least a post-1918 production.

        Value: if you aren't able to ID the pin it stays a ordinary golden pin. if i would be intersted i wouldn't pay more than 50 to 70 euro for such a piece. are the diamonds real or paste (strass)?
