L/11 Marked EK 1 in Box - Opinions Needed

Here is a really nice L/11 marked EK 1 in the box in excellent condition. I am not too familiar with WW I EKs issued in the TR period so I would like to post this here for opinions. I also put it in the TR area to see what they think.

This EK is 3 piece with magnetic core. The front is frosty with highly burnished frome edges. The back is frosty and marked L/11.

What I an unfamiliar with is the case that has no metal hinge or push button lid release.

    All opinions are appreciated,

    Brad

Very nice, here's one a little more "worn" that I used to own.

Couldn't agree more; the mint examples don't do it for me. Yours saw action while the other saw a drawer.

I have several others that saw plenty of action and will trade them all day long for any mint examples you have.

I personally think having a selection of both worn and mint pieces is a good idea. Number one it makes a better looking display and also gives you a better idea of what things looked like at the time when they "went off to fight the war".

                            Thanks for your comments,

                            Brad
