    Glenn,
I concur with you concerning which spellings are proper. All the names in the album are written with the same hand; not autographs. I mentioned the discrepancies merely for accuracy.
Again, thanks to all for your help. I have learned much, much more about my album than previously thought possible.

      Denny,

Here is a biography of the former owner of your album. Should you have have any problems with the German language, I will translate it.

      Regards
      Glenn

Thank you all very much for these brilliant posts. Glenn, as always, amazing... Now I need to print out what you've posted and try to match up to the photos I have. They seemed to all wear these style beards in these days...

          Glenn, as always, is right.

#36 showed Raimund Emanuel v Caprivi who left IR 112 in 1880 and made it to GenLt commanding 16 Inf Brig. He was the younger brother of the more famous Graf Leo, Chancellor and Ministerpräsident 90 - 92 after Bismarck. He was father of Mj [Ferdinand] Leo v Caprivi, Flügeladjutant to the Kaiser and Chef of XVII Korps durign the Battle of Verdun 1916.

v Bernuth was indeed Ernst v Bernuth who left IR 112 also in 1880. He was GenLt commanding 26 Inf Brig 96 - 98.

          Cheers
          Elwyn

Thanks again to all those here, who contributed their vast knowledge to this thread. Without all of you, I would never have learned so much about my album.
