Your focus and collection never cease to amaze me no matter how many times I see it.

I often wonder how they remembered which award went where with so many loops dotted around these tunics!

          Regards

Many thanks for your kind words, Rich. The funny thing is that, with a few exceptions, most high ranking officers tended to use only very few of the many loops for awards sewn to their tunics, with quite a few of them wearing only two to three breaststars on any given occasion. Which is fortunate, because it makes it possible to properly dress these tunics with modest effort .......
            Cheers,
            Sandro

Absolutely the finest Imperial items I've ever seen. I would think it impossible for anyone to assemble a similar collection today. I like my Imperial swords but your pieces kind of leave me speachless. Just fabulous.

Great things, especially the Prince of Baden, for me as a Baden collector. Thanks for showing!

Sandro, not exactly the same as with Epauletten, but the unit might be the right one?! Not sure about that - but the guy is for sure...

Many thanks for your kind words Sashaw. Well, in a few months I may have a further baden piece to show: watch this space.

Many thanks for the hyperlink to the Prinz Max von Baden postcard. Yes, it is definitely Prinz Max. I have that card, which shows him in fieldgrey. But I´m still searching for a pic showing him in the blue Dragoner Regt. Nr. 20 tunic shown in this thread, so any further help you and others can give will be much appreciated. Btw, I will also be interested in good pics showing Friedrich I in the uniform of L.Gr.R. 109.

Best regards, and thanks again for your help,
                        Sandro

Time to revive this thread, I think. The second Baden tunic did not materialize, but I think the alternative as good, if not better. Hope you enjoy the pics.

And another fairly recent addition which I hope you will enjoy.
