Unusual Iron Cross!

I Read On Another Thread That There Are Non-military Iron Crosses That Were Basically Souvenirs Or Commemorative Medals. I Think This May Be One Of Them. I Guess That It's A Souvenir For An Important Parade Or March On August 12, 1878? It Looks Like A Metal Casting. I Don't Know What It Is So I Didn't Want To Bid More Than 45 Dollars For It. Did I Blow It??? Ausgang

Its certainly a casting. I also saw it on ebay recently but did not bid on it ... not sure if this real or fake or phantasy, but my best guess is that it is one of the latter two. Cheers, Torsten.
