What unit is this NCO ?

That is probably simple for You, not for me.
What unit is this NCO ?

Is that a prussian Gardeuniform of some type ?
I ask because of his cuffs, the collar Litzen are like those I can see on bavarian Leibgrenadierregiment uniforms, but the cuffs don't seem bavarian style.

    Here are his medals:

Thanks in advance for Your explanations.

He belongs to an Ulanen-Regiment, I'll check if I can find exactly which one.

Thank You, Ulanen was what I also thought, regarding his tunic, but I was wondering about the cuffs.

By the way, I just noticed that the is wearing his small ribbon bar under his big medal bar. Interesting.

        Yes-- weird!

I believe he's from Württemberg Ulanen-Regiment 19, which had Gardelitzen AND a shoulderstrap cipher. Prussian Garde-Ulanen had no ciphers.

With the usual confusing shift in the way colors came out on old photographic processes, that is a Wtbg silver bravery medal in the middle (with the BACK as front!) and a wartime blackened Wtbg IX years long service medal. His EK2 is also "1813" side up!

Lets not forget the Saxons. Kgl. Sächs.1. Ulanen-Regiment Kaiser Franz Josef von Österreich "König von Ungarn'' Nr.17 also carried cuff and collar Litzen with a shoulder strap cypher. T
